"In the Cards" is a story written by second generation Italian-Canadian artist and writer, Claire Tatangelo. Claire wrote this story which is inspired by her memories of her grandparents, all four of which came to Canada in the 1950’s through Pier 21. When Claire moved to Halifax in 2022, she experienced three natural disasters which inspired her to write this story.
